Company background

Jagan Biswakarma, founder and owner of Nepal MTB Adventures
Jagan BiswakarmaFounder & Owner, founded the company in 2004

Jagan Biswakarma grew up in a rural Nepali community that had long been pushed to the margins. He started guiding mountain bike rides in Pokhara and founded the company in 2004 as Pokhara Mountain Bike Adventures. It has since been renamed Nepal MTB Adventures.

Over more than 20 years the company has hosted over 10,000 riders. Every route it sells was scouted and ridden first by its own guides. The company trains and employs young people from rural, disadvantaged and Dalit backgrounds, women included. Several riders it coached have become Nepali national champions and South Asian downhill champions.
