Incredibly eventful Annapurna Circuit, mid to late November 2024, private tour Great MTB tour! First a good 4 days through the narrow valley of the Marsyangdi River up to Manang. Mostly on the dirt road that runs through the valley. Unfortunately quite dusty when a car passes. Lots of views, first of the Manaslu group, then Annapurna II, III and IV come into view and in Manang you are directly under the Gangapurna. Unbelievable! Then turn off into a side valley and on footpaths another 2 days up to Thorong Phedi. The landscape becomes barren, no more trees grow and the shrubs and bushes also get smaller and smaller until they have completely disappeared and have to give way to the stone desert. Now comes the ultimate test: ascent from 4550m above sea level to 5416m above sea level! Very breathtaking! Very impressive! After the pass, we go down a real "holy trail" 1700m to Ranipauwa/Muktinath. WOW! Finally, my rental bike (Scott Genius 940) can show off its strengths! The next day brings another wonderful flow trail over the Lupra Pass to Jomsom and further down the valley. Unfortunately, we are often on the road again, which is busier in the Lower Mustang. All in all, a unique, impressive experience, which was made complete by the great organization of Jagan and his team. Thank you to all of you who looked after and cared for me throughout the entire trip, from the pick-up at the airport in Kathmandu, the city tour, the actual trip, to the hotel in Kathmandu!
