Building a School in Kutumsa, 2013
With our guests and volunteers, we helped build a well-equipped school in Kutumsa, supplying books, uniforms, snacks, stationery, and sports equipment.
Empowering communities and promoting sustainability through responsible mountain biking across Nepal.
At Nepal Mountain Bike Adventures, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional mountain biking tours in Nepal while upholding ethical and sustainable tourism. Sustainability is built into how we work, putting the well-being of the environment, local communities, and social equity first.

Nepal's mountains, trails, and communities are at the heart of everything we do. As a responsible travel company, we work to minimise our environmental impact while keeping social and economic benefit in local communities.
We design every ride to respect nature, preserve culture, and support sustainable livelihoods. Our goal is not just to explore Nepal, but to protect and uplift it for the generations who come next.
Cycling is a clean, green way to travel, and we build that belief into everything we ride.
We champion the bicycle as a sustainable way to travel, stay healthy, and care for the planet, encouraging cycling in our tours, our community, and local schools to cut carbon emissions and keep people fit, on holiday and in daily life.
We work to protect the Himalayas, glaciers, lakes, and rivers, riding with minimal impact and leaving a positive footprint on every destination we visit.
We help local communities value the protection of flora, fauna, and forests, and we educate our staff and guests to travel responsibly.
We manage waste responsibly, promote proper disposal and recycling on every tour, and plant trees to fight soil erosion and support reforestation.
We partner with municipalities, NGOs, and INGOs to promote cycling, protect nature, and preserve natural trails for future generations.

We make sure the value of tourism stays with the people and places that make it possible.
We maximise the economic and social benefit that stays in local communities by employing locals and supporting their growth.
We use locally made products wherever possible, supporting rural businesses along the trails we ride.
We price fairly and transparently while delivering high-quality experiences that exceed expectations.
We train our team and local communities, opening doors to personal and professional growth in tourism.

We ride to open doors for the people too often left behind.
We respect and promote local culture and traditions, and encourage our guests to engage with them thoughtfully and respectfully.
We offer equal opportunity to women and people from marginalised backgrounds, with jobs, mentorship, and vocational training for rural, marginalised, and Dalit communities in Nepal.
We run free day rides for local children and youth, and offer guide and mechanic training that leads to real jobs in mountain tourism.
Every trip is run to tread lightly on the land and lift up the community.
We minimise plastic bags, bottles, and plates on trips, discourage littering, prioritise cycling over vehicles, and practise reuse, recycling, repair, and paperless work in the office.
As a locally owned company, the revenue from our trips improves the socioeconomic and cultural life of the communities we visit.
We are proudly owned by people from underprivileged backgrounds, working to empower and educate marginalised communities through honest pricing and real opportunity.
The well-being of our community, guests, staff, and the environment comes first, supported by regular training for our team and the communities we work with.
We partner with NGOs to improve education in rural villages, putting a share of our sales into school materials, bags, uniforms, and medical camps.
We are working towards becoming a Travelife partner and earning their sustainability certificate.

We promote cycling as a clean, low-carbon way to explore Nepal, riding light by cutting single-use plastic, avoiding litter, and following leave-no-trace habits.

We hire locally, partner with homestays, and support small businesses along our routes, so tourism income stays with the communities who host us.

We organise trail clean-up campaigns and awareness programs to protect Nepal's natural beauty, regularly removing waste from biking trails and surrounding areas.

We train local youth to become certified guides, mechanics, and tourism professionals, building a stronger and more sustainable local economy.
Every journey with us contributes to meaningful impact across Nepal.

From our very first tours, giving back has been part of who we are. Here is some of the work we are proud of.
Seeing how few opportunities existed in the industry, we began offering free mountain biking training and coaching to young people, especially those from lower-income backgrounds. Many have gone on to become national champions, South Asian Downhill champions, and professional riders.

With our guests and volunteers, we helped build a well-equipped school in Kutumsa, supplying books, uniforms, snacks, stationery, and sports equipment.

We donated benches and desks to Pitamber Higher Secondary School in Syangja, giving students and teachers a more comfortable place to learn.

After the 2015 earthquake, we distributed food, clothing, and temporary shelter to affected families.

We organised free medical camps covering general health, eye care, and gynaecological care for this rural community.

Every year we give disadvantaged rural children stationery, uniforms, and mentorship to support their education.

From 2017 to 2019 we ran a goat distribution program to give rural families a steady source of income.
During the pandemic, we contributed to food relief for local families hit hardest by lockdown job losses.
We created a program to train and mentor female riders into professional guides, including Sophiya Biswakarma, Nikita Pariyar, Isha Rai, and Babita Pariyar.
With the Green Generation project, our female riders led school and college sessions on cycling for health, tourism, and the environment, providing free bicycles to participants.
