Question 1

What is the Blub Tubeless Brass Valve 44mm?

Accepted Answer

It’s a tubeless valve stem for mountain bike wheels, 44mm long. It lets you run tyres without inner tubes, which helps cut down on flats and lets you run lower pressures.

Question 2

What valve type is it, and will it fit my rim?

Accepted Answer

It’s a Presta valve. It fits rims with a valve hole up to 8mm, which covers most MTB tubeless rims. Check your rim’s valve hole size and valve type, since Schrader-drilled rims won’t take this valve.

Question 3

Is the valve core removable?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The removable core makes it easy to add tubeless sealant through the valve and helps give a better seal. You can also take the core out to inflate faster when seating a tyre.

Question 4

What is it made of?

Accepted Answer

The page lists it as a brass tubeless valve. Brass is durable and corrosion-resistant. Other Blub listings also describe a double-sealed construction for an airtight fit.

Question 5

Is 44mm long enough for my rims?

Accepted Answer

44mm is a standard length for MTB rims and most trail, enduro and cross-country wheels. Very deep carbon or aero rims may need a longer valve, so check your rim depth before ordering.

Question 6

How much does it weigh?

Accepted Answer

The page lists the item weight as about 20g, and the package measures 11.3 x 7.8 x 1.4 cm.

Question 7

What else do I need to set up tubeless?

Accepted Answer

You’ll need tubeless-ready tyres, tubeless rim tape (or tubeless-ready rims), and sealant. A floor pump with a good burst, or a tubeless booster, helps seat the tyre. If you’re unsure about the setup, our workshop can help. Please get in touch before ordering if you want to confirm the pack quantity, since the listing doesn’t state how many valves come in each pack.
