The Trek Marlin 7 Gen 3 is a 2026 cross-country hardtail and the model we hand out most often to riders doing full days rather than short loops. It shares the Alpha Silver Aluminium frame and the modern trail geometry of the rest of the Gen 3 Marlin range, with internal routing for the derailleur and a dropper post. The thing that separates it from the Marlin 6 below it is the suspension: a RockShox Judy Silver fork with a Solo Air spring, rebound adjustment and a Turnkey hydraulic lockout, running 100 mm of travel. It rents at $35 a day.
