Majestic Annapurna Round has been considered one of the best trekking routes in the world. In recent years the construction of Jeep trails accessing the majority of the circuit has brought many changes to
the region but most significantly to us, as mountain bikers, it’s made possible a high altitude bike route
that cannot be matched anywhere else on the earth. This stunning bike trip takes you to some of the
most beautiful places in the world and it is not hard to see why… circling the spectacular Annapurna
Massif of numerous 6000-8000m peaks, the trek passes through two geographically and culturally
distinct river valleys which are separated by the famous and challenging 5416m Thorong- La pass at the edge of the Tibetan Plateau. Passing from Paddy field to Himalayan high dessert then pine forest,
subtropical jungle, encountering towering cliff, waterfalls and pristine mountain village, temples,
monasteries, Mani wall and prayers wheel, apple orchards, natural hot springs along the way it is the
variety of terrain and landscape that is what has really made this route stand out as unique for so long.
As mountain bikers we’re out to have fun and we understand the importance of not just following the simplest route so we’ll put the extra effort to seek out the best trails that we know will leave you grinning from ear to ear!
Here at Pokhara Mountain Bike Adventure we use our expertise and local
knowledge of the region alongside our love of the trails and experience of what makes a great bike ride
to deliver an exclusive version of this classic route that not only shows off the culture and the landscape
but also some of the best single track trails Nepal has to offer! This trip is not recommended for beginner bikers and luxury seekers. It is definitely an adventure and one not for the faint hearted, nowa days with new Jeep trail there are route options and time scale that can be tailored to suit a range of
abilities and style of rider.
Remember, it is only an outline/example itinerary. Here we understand that every rider is different so we design each trip to cater for the specific need of the group/individual. Faster, chilled, or cruising…whatever your style, it’s your holiday/trip.
