9th Nepal mountain bike championship
3rd Ashwin 2064 (19th September, 2008)
Mountain Bike Championship in KathmanduFriday early morning our team left Pokhara to participate in the national mountain bike championship in Kathmandu. Normally the 200 km between Pokhara and the capital takes around 5 hours by van but not this time….. On the way our van was nearly fall down in Trisuli River and our trip was nearly finished on a rafting one... Thanks to the skill‘s driver…we avoid the cliff… After this experience we all feel lucky to be still in live and the feeling to have a new life for the championship race. After few hours in middle of nowhere to wait for the repair man, we fixed it and finally arrived at Kathmandu around midnight…

RacingAfter a short night we wake up 6 o’clock and were “ready” for the race… We gave our best and it was not so bad for us. Around 100 participants took part in the XC competition, a lot of fun for all of us… Tara and Surendar took 4th and 5th place respectively in junior category and Achil with Raj Kumar will have the honour to represent Nepal in the downhill Asian championship held in November… Good luck for them and thanks to all the people who help us in our project…
